The Nursery is Open Daily Mondays to Fridays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Closed on Sundays unless a visit or collection has been pre-arranged.
We have a Special Open weekend, combined with the preview of our plants for The Chelsea Flower Show.
The dates of this weekend are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 08th, 09th, 10th May 2009.
On this occasion we hold our annual Plant Sale.
We also have a mail order service.
Plants, tubers, seed etc may be selected from the catalogue, the order form completed and returnd to us. Postal charges should be added to the price of the plants selected. We will then despatch your order during the appropriate season.
pre-payment is requested which may be made by Cheque, Postal Order or Credit/Debit Card.
Overseas Orders
We welcome orders from overseas clients for dormant begonia tubers and of course packets of seed, but regret we are unable to export growing plants. The Ministry of Agriculture now imposes a charge for pre-despatch inspection and the preparation of the Health certificate that has to accompany each order for plant material, except seeds. To cover this charge please add £12 per order.
Seed orders are not affected.
Airmail postage for tuber orders please add £18 per order plus £12 inspection charge (see paragraph above)
Airmail postage for seed orders please add £2 per order.
We additionally welcome begonia orders from EC countries.
No health certificate is now required although the air mail postage and packing charge must be added. Orders should be prepaid by either Sterling Draft or Credit/Debig Cards all export orders for tubers to be placed by the end of january.
Conditions of sale.
1. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. Please add packing and postage charges where these are applicable.
2. orders will not normally be acknowledged unless accompanied by a stampd addressed envelope.
3. Goods will be despatched at the earliest appropriate delivery season according to subject, provided pre-payment has been made in full.
4. in the event of plants being received in damaged or unsatisfactory condition, please let us know AT ONCE as living plants are subject to many factors and conditions outside the control of the supplier and complaints cannot be entertained if made many month after delivery.
5. please advise us of holiday dates etc. so that delivery at such times can be avoided - we cannot accept responsibility for plants being spoiled if delivery is made when customers are away from home.
6. We reserve the right to substitute in the event of demand exceeding supply, all orders being subject to availability at time of despatch.
